What people use it for
The sweetener in a pot of cooling tea: crack one, drop the shell and flesh in, and it sweetens two litres by itself. Also brewed with dried lemon, chrysanthemum or hawthorn.
How to prepare it
Crack one fruit, put the whole thing including the shell into 1.5 to 2 litres of water and simmer 20 to 30 minutes. Half a fruit is enough for one big mug.
