About dried huai shan
Chinese yam, peeled and dried into hard white slices. Almost tasteless on its own and slightly starchy, which is exactly what it is there for - it gives a soup body. This pack is 400 g net. At the quantities below that is about 20 pots of soup. That works out at S$4.32 per 100 g.
Also known as chinese yam, shan yao, wai san, 淮山, dioscorea, dried yam slices.
