This time no wet pieces of ginger. All pieces are dry and coated with sugar. Taste not too spicy :)

A spoon of powder in hot water with brown sugar, slices simmered into soup, and both used in baking and in cooking where fresh ginger would burn.
Powder: a level teaspoon in a mug of hot water, stirred, with brown sugar or honey. Slices: three or four per pot, simmered 20 minutes.
Airtight. Powder cakes badly in humidity - keep the bag sealed and use a dry spoon.
It is grown in Bentong, Pahang, in mineral-rich soil. It is smaller and more fibrous than common ginger and much sharper in taste, which is why it costs more.
Powder for drinks and baking, slices for soups and long cooking.
At the quantity in the instructions above, about 100 brews from this pack.
This one works out at S$3.00 per 100 g. One Sunny lists most items in more than one size, so compare that figure rather than the pack price.
