About dried rose buds
Whole dried rose buds, picked closed so they hold their shape in the cup. Scent-forward and gently sweet, with a slight tannin edge if left to steep too long. This pack is 500 g net. At the quantities below that is about 167 brews. That works out at S$6.40 per 100 g.

What people use it for
Brewed on its own, blended with pu erh to soften it, or dropped into a glass teapot when the point is how it looks. Also used a spoonful at a time in home-made bath salts and in baking.
How to prepare it
Five to six buds per mug of water just off the boil, 3 minutes. Longer than about 5 minutes and it turns astringent.
Keeping it
Airtight and away from light. Roses lose their scent before they lose their colour.

No, not on its own. A rose and pu erh blend does, because of the pu erh.
Why does my rose tea taste bitter?
Almost always over-steeping. Three minutes is enough; take the buds out rather than leaving them in the pot.
