About lotus seeds

Dried lotus seeds, pale and firm, with a mild chestnut taste. Skinless ones cook faster; the ones with the green core in the middle taste bitter unless it is removed. This pack is 250 g net. At the quantities below that is about 10 servings. That works out at S$4.60 per 100 g.

How to prepare it

Soak 30 minutes to an hour, push out the green core if there is one, then simmer 40 minutes until they give under a spoon.
