About dried longan
Longan flesh dried until dark and chewy, intensely sweet with a smoky note. Sold as loose pulp or still in the shell. This pack is 500 g net. At the quantities below that is about 63 brews. That works out at S$3.46 per 100 g.

What people use it for
The other half of red date tea, and a standard addition to sweet soups, herbal chicken soup and porridge. A few pieces sweeten a whole pot.
How to prepare it
A small handful to a litre. Add at the start of a soup so it softens, or 5 or 6 pieces to a mug with red dates for 10 minutes.
