Dried lily, sold either as the pale bulb petals for soups or as the golden dried flower buds used in cooking. This pack is 100 g net. At the quantities below that is about 7 pots of soup.

Also known as lily bulb, bai he, gum chum, golden needles, 百合, dried lily flower.

What people use it for

Lily bulb goes into sweet soups with snow fungus and lotus seed, and into savoury double-boiled soups. The dried flower buds are the "golden needles" in mu shu and hot and sour dishes.

How to prepare it

Rinse and soak 20 to 30 minutes, then simmer with the rest of the soup for 30 to 40 minutes.
